There is a very interesting debate on the ethics of egg donation going on between Wesley J. Smith who writes at http://www.wesleyjsmith.com/blog/ and who wrote this post about how all egg donation should be banned on July 31 and Summer Johnson who comments at http://blog.bioethics.net/. Her original reaction is here. She has the feminist perspective that, since sperm donation is ok for men, women should have the same opportunity to weigh the risks and benefits and should not be prevented from making their own decision.
